March 2020 update

(March 18, 2020)

An update on some forthcoming events
In view of government advice and current restrictions, the present situation with forthcoming CADS events is as follows:

19 March - Sawston Drama Festival
The organisers have sensibly decided to cancel this event and consequently we shan't now be performing Strangers on a Film at this festival tomorrow night.

2 April - AGM/Musical Theatre workshop
CADS and Limitless Academy have both taken the decision to postpone these events. Further details about the AGM will be made available soon. In the mean time, the existing committee will continue to meet, depending on any further recommended restrictions on gatherings.

23 April - read-through/30 April - auditions for Six Dead Queens
At the moment, we're assuming that these will probably need to be postponed, but clearly we shall take note of any further extension or relaxation of the government measures on public gatherings.

11-16 May - Welwyn Drama Festival
The organisers have just announced that they, too, are cancelling this year's festival, so we shan't be taking Strangers there either.

17-19 September - Cambridge Drama Festival
The organisers of the Cambridge Festival have written to say that, at the moment, they are proceeding with their plans on the assumption that their festival will take place but, again, the situation may change before then and we'll need to keep our options open.

Committee
Our next meeting would have been the AGM (see above) on Thursday 2 April; we have yet to decide when and where to hold this, and any committee meetings in the interim will need to be considered by the current committee, but if there's anything you'd like us to consider or discuss at any time, please feel free to contact any of us via the Contact page of this website.
