Royston Museum Project

From the number of people who asked when we were “going to do this again”, the Museum Project was a great success.  It was informative, funny and moving.  Congratulations to everyone involved, in particular to Kathy Young and Louise Atkins for all their hard work.

Turn To Face the Change

The performance of Turn To Face the Change at the Sawston Festival is just around the corner on 20th March at 7.30 pm. Tickets are £7 (£6 concessions) or you can get a SEASON TICKET for all three nights for £16 (£14 concessions).  Tickets are available from THE FESTIVAL SECRETARY: Tel 01223 880023 or at the door each evening.

We hope to perform this at the Haverhill Festival, although our participation has not yet been confirmed, and we also hope to bring the play to a Royston audience.  More information will follow as soon as possible.

Royston Arts Festival

The 2014 Royston Arts Festival will run from 19th – 28th September.  The theme is Heroes and Villains and the CADS contribution will be The Fosdyke Saga by Alan Plater based on a strip cartoon by Bill Tidy.  It will be directed by Michael Young and performed on 25th – 27th September, 7.30pm, at Meridian School.  Dates for auditions and rehearsals will be announced nearer the time.

CADS AGM

The CADS Annual General Meeting will be on 8 April 7:30 at Meridian in room B10.  Please enter the school through the doors by the gym and follow the signs.  Come and have your say in the future of the group and possibly even volunteer to be on the committee.

SUBS

Subs are now due.  They were actually due in January but here is a gentle reminder for anyone who forgot. They are £15 and £10 concessions.  This is not bad for a whole year including a free ticket to every production.

ACTORS WANTED

The Over Players are hoping to stage an outdoor Shakespeare event (All's Well That Ends Well) in July of this year but are 2 men short.  If anyone is interested in being involved, could they contact Olive Swain on [email protected].

MADS

And, finally, a little plug for MADS, Melbourn Amateur Dramatics Society, who are putting on NEVER TOO LATE!

This is what MADS say about it:

When a boarding home for failing celebrities comes under threat from closure, the residents are forced to take drastic steps to keep their home open. What shall they do?

Come and join the MADS team for a fun evening of laughter and musical entertainment.
