Programme competition
WE HAVE A WINNER!
As part of our preparations for the 2026 Royston Town Pantomime, we held a special competition for young audience members to design the cover for the show’s programme. The competition was open to anyone between the ages of 7 and 11.
The panto is Dick Whittington, and so we asked people to draw Dick travelling to London with his faithful cat to save the city from being over-run by King Rat and his ratty minions. Our winner has now been decided and, as well as having their design printed on the programme, received a family ticket to the pantomime, which as usual is a traditional mix of singing, dancing, slapstick and awful jokes. And possibly a camel.
The panto itself is being performed at King James Academy (Senior Site) with the last three performances on Friday 30 January at 7.30 p.m., Saturday 31 January at 2 p.m. [Note that this show is now completely sold out] and Saturday 31 January at 7.30 p.m. Full details, including information on how to book your tickets, can be found here.
