Programme competition

WE HAVE A WINNER!

As part of our preparations for the 2026 Royston Town Pantomime, we held a special competition for young audience members to design the cover for the show’s programme. The competition was open to anyone between the ages of 7 and 11.

The panto in January is Dick Whittington, and so we asked people to draw Dick travelling to London with his faithful cat to save the city from being over-run by King Rat and his ratty minions. Our winner has now been decided and, as well as having their design printed on the programme, receives a family ticket to the pantomime, which promises to be the traditional mix of singing, dancing, slapstick and awful jokes. And possibly a camel.

The panto itself is being performed at King James Academy (Senior Site) on Saturday 24 January 2026 at 2 p.m. and 7.30 p.m., Sunday 25 at 11.30 a.m. (though this show is now completely sold out), Friday 30 at 7.30 p.m. and Saturday 31 at 2 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. Full details, including information on how to book your tickets, can be found here.
